Teachers & Students Won Excellent Awards in the National Collegiate Information Security Competition

Recently, the final of the 12th National Collegiate Information Security Competition was held by Southeast University. The competition was sponsored by the Cybersecurity Professional Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education and the China Internet Development Foundation Cybersecurity Special Fund. Our school won one award of outstanding advisor, one first prize and two second prizes, achieving its best results in recent years.

  


The National Collegiate Information Security Competition was initiated and hosted by the Cybersecurity Professional Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education. It is reported that this year's Competition attracted a total of 116 schools, 499 teams, and nearly 2,000 college students to participate. After the online preliminary competition, a total of 218 teams advanced to the finals. The finals were held in Nanjing from August 1st to 2nd, and on-site thesis defense was conducted. Three of the participating teams were from our school, which were composed of teachers and students from the School of Computer Science, the School of Information and Electronics, and the School of Biomedical Engineering & Instrument Science. The three teams won a first prize, two second prizes, and one award of outstanding advisor. The details are as follows:

The National Collegiate Information Security Competition aims to create conditions for cultivating, selecting and recommending excellent information security professionals through a cybersecurity talent cultivation model that specializes in competing and training to stimulate learning. The Competition is currently in its twelfth session. It is the Olympics of the field of cybersecurity and has become the most highly regarded contest among students in related fields across the country.
