CCST has established cooperation with over 10 world-leading universities and institutes, such as University of British Columbia, National University of Singapore and The University of Hong Kong to increase student mobility and facilitate research collaboration. Many of our faculty are very actively engaged in research collaboration with international scholars. International cooperation is an essential part of CCST, and we value each one of our strategic partnerships.
With the mission of nurturing talents with international competitiveness, CCST endeavors to provide distinctive academic exchange programs, develop international curriculum programs, and engaging global talents. Over 20 outbound exchange programs are hosted each year, and a number of international students come to CCST for academic exchange. Supported by the Double First-class Initiative, CCST has established structured English course modules for international students to choose from, and regularly organizes seminars and talks hosted by accomplished international scholars.
Undergraduate student Jia'ao Chen (first to the right in the second row) went to CMU for research internships in 2019.
As a research-based institution, CCST is dedicated to building mechanisms to bolster academic exchange and international research cooperation. We regularly organize 2-3 large international conferences each year, to welcome global scholars to exchange insights in Hangzhou. Moreover, CCST joins hands with global universities and corporations in building a total of 9 joint research centers to tackle research challenges and promote technology transfer. The two international journals published by CCST faculty also stand for our growing global academic influences.
CCST carried out an NSFC Key International Cooperation Project with Caltech and Michigan State University on geometric optimization and process simulation of complex physical objects.
