The ZJU College of Computer Science and Technology traces its roots back to the Radio Engineering Department that was established in 1978 – one of earliest omputer science departments founded in China. After over 40 years of concerted commitment, we have developed into a computer science college with distinctive academic strength and growing world impact.

The Computer Science and Technology and Software Engineering disciplines of CCST are evaluated as A+ by the Ministry of Education, and selected for China’s “Double-first Class” Initiative. In 2025, The Computer Science discipline is ranked as top 1‰ globally.
