The 2024 IEEE World Congress on Services, organized by the IEEE TCSVC (Technical Committee on Services Computing) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), was held in Shenzhen on July 7, 2024. During the conference, the IEEE TCSVC Award Committee announced that this year's Outstanding Leadership Award in Global Service Computing was presented to Professor Jianwei Yin in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the field of service computing. His leadership, governance, community development, talent cultivation, academic achievements, and promotion of industry-academia-research collaboration were particularly highlighted. This award is considered the highest honor in the international academic field of service computing.

The IEEE World Congress on Services is the premier event in the field of service computing. It includes several prestigious conferences such as IEEE ICWS, SSE, CLOUD, EDGE, and ICDH, many of which are classified as CCF Class B and C conferences. This year, the event attracted more than 600 scholars from dozens of countries. At the IEEE International Conference on Software and Service Computing (SSE), Professor Yin delivered a keynote speech titled "Large-scale Complex Trusted Service Networks," under the chairmanship of IEEE Fellow Professor Sumi Helal from the University of Florida, USA. In his presentation, he provided a detailed overview of the advanced research achievements of the EasySpider open-source project, the ISO international standard for service networks, and the theoretical framework and platform for service integration and connection developed by his institute. These contributions were met with high praise from attending scholars.

Additionally, Professor Yin organized the Global ICWS Service Regulation and Governance Workshop at the IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS). The workshop attracted numerous scholars from institutions such as IBM in the United States and the University of Milan in Italy, who came together to explore new directions and methods in digital service regulation and governance.
