On March 27, Elsevier, a global information analytics company, officially released its list of the "2023 Most Cited Chinese Researchers." Twelve scholars from the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University were recognized for their exceptional contributions in the field of computer science and technology: Cai Deng, Deng Shuiguang, He Xiaofei, Li Jiwei, Li Xi, Shen Chunhua, Song Mingli, Xiao Jun, Zhao Zhou, Zhou Kun, Zhou Xiaowei, and Zhou Yajin (listed in alphabetical order by surname).

It is noteworthy that the "2023 Most Cited Chinese Researchers" list comprises 5,801 individuals from 496 universities, enterprises, and scientific research institutions across ten subject areas designated by the Ministry of Education, spanning eighty-four first-level disciplines. Among these distinguished scholars, 233 researchers are affiliated with Zhejiang University, which ranks second among domestic universities for the number of recognized researchers.

The selection criteria for highly cited scholars are objective and standardized to ensure fairness and impartiality. Being included in this prestigious list signifies that these scholars have substantial influence within their respective research fields and have made significant contributions to advancements in their disciplines.

**Cai Deng**

Professor Cai Deng is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, where he serves as a doctoral supervisor. He has received several accolades, including the National Outstanding Youth Fund and recognition as a top talent under the Ten Thousand Talents Program. Additionally, he holds the position of Chief Scientist for the Young 973 Program. His primary area of expertise is machine learning.

**Deng Shuiguang**

Professor Deng Shuiguang is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is a Qiushi Distinguished Scholar, recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, Fellow of the IET/EAI, and a distinguished member and lecturer of the CCF. His main research areas include service computing, cloud computing, edge computing, software engineering, and big data.

**He Xiaofei**

Professor He Xiaofei is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is an internationally renowned scholar in the field of artificial intelligence and a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. His research interests include machine learning, information retrieval, and computational vision.

**Li Jiwei**

Dr. Li Jiwei is a research professor under the "One Hundred Talents Program" at Zhejiang University and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He was named one of the "35 Innovators Under 35 in Science and Technology" by MIT Technology Review in both 2019 (China) and 2020 (global). His main research areas are deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning, and bioinformatics.

**Li Xi**

Professor Li Xi is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is a Fellow of IET, Senior Member of IEEE, recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, and a young expert of the National Youth Program. His primary research areas are artificial intelligence, computer vision, pattern recognition, and machine learning.

**Shen Chunhua**

Professor Shen Chunhua is a Qiushi Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is the deputy director of the State Key Lab of CAD&CG and a consultant for the Advisory Committee of the Data Science Research Center at Zhejiang University. His research focuses on machine learning and computer vision.

**Song Mingli**

Professor Song Mingli is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is a senior member of IEEE, professional member of ACM, senior member of the China Image and Graphics Society, member of the China Computer Society, and Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education - Microsoft Key Laboratory of Visual Perception (Zhejiang University). His research interests include image information processing, machine vision and pattern recognition, visual big data, embedded computer vision, and natural human-computer interaction.

**Xiao Jun**

Professor Xiao Jun is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence. He is also the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education - Microsoft Key Laboratory of Visual Perception (Zhejiang University) and Assistant Director of the Ministry of Education’s Artificial Intelligence Collaborative Innovation Center (Zhejiang University). Additionally, he is the Secretary General of the Open Source and Open Promotion Group of the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA) and the Secretary General/Vice President of the Zhejiang Computer Society. His research interests include big data intelligence, cross-media computing, and machine learning.

**Zhao Zhou**

Professor Zhao Zhou is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and a national high-level young talent. His research interests include natural language processing, computer vision, and generative artificial intelligence.

**Zhou Kun**

Professor Zhou Kun is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He is an ACM Fellow, IEEE Fellow, and a Fellow of Chang Jiang Scholars Program. Currently, he is the Director of the State Key Lab of CAD&CG at Zhejiang University. His research interests include computer graphics, computer vision, human-computer interaction, and virtual reality.

**Zhou Xiaowei**

Associate Professor Zhou Xiaowei is a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology, serving as a doctoral supervisor. He is a national high-level young talent. His research interests include computer vision, augmented reality, and robotics.

**Zhou Yajin**

Dr. Zhou Yajin is a research professor under the "One Hundred Talents Program" at Zhejiang University and serves as a doctoral supervisor at the College of Computer Science and Technology. His research interests include operating system security, embedded system security, software security, binary analysis, and CPU architecture security.
