CCST values “Problem-Based Learning”, which is an innovative educational initiative that aims at nurturing students’ all-around abilities through participation in academic competitions. Through this initiative, students can enhance their abilities to innovate and integrate theories with applications. At the global stage, CCST’s students have proved their international competitiveness with outstanding achievements.

On November 3, 2024, a Zhejiang University team claimed the championship at the ICPC Asia Regional Contest, marking the university's third victory in the mainland China division.
