He Zhijun Academic Forum Series: the 2nd Intelligence Power Seminar

In order to commemorate the remarkable achievements of Mr. He Zhijun, the founder of our computer science department, and promote the discussion on first-class disciplines, academic research and talent education, the College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University launched He Zhijun academic forum series in May 2018, aiming to build a platform for academic exchanges, promote disciplines integration and stimulate academic enthusiasm.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly developing in accordance with theoretical innovation, technology leadership and application-driven development. It will profoundly change the existing computing architecture and machine learning, presenting a combination of soft/hardware, heterogeneous computing, accounting, general-purpose and ASIC chip, cloud network collaboration and neuromorphic calculations. These characteristics will lay intelligence foundation for economic and social development.

On September 10, 2018, the second session of the “Intelligence Power” seminar will be hosted at the Runrun Shaw Building at Yuquan Campus. The event is co-organized by the College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Artificial Intelligence Development Committee (AI TOP30), Zhijiang Laboratory and Deqing Research Lab of the Zhejiang University Artificial Intelligence Institute. The seminar invited researchers from Microsoft, Duke University, Zhejiang University, Horizon and OPPO to discuss topics such as theory, technology and applications.
