NUS School of Computing conducts Summer Programs for international students to study advanced computing and information technology related courses and projects in NUS. The program inspiredstudents todevelop a global perspective to prepare oneself for future work and further studies overseas. The 2018 Summer Workshop was held from 11 July 2018 to 1 August 2018 with 378 participated students, sought to give students an insights into various hot topics in computing and IT covering 3 main areas: Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia Computing, Big Data and Cloud Computing, and Internet of Things and Security.  Students were required to get extensive hands-on experience and apply their new-found knowledge in their projects, guided by professors. On the final day, students showcased the fruits of their labour and presented their works to fellow students and lecturers. The coming NUS SoC Summer Workshop 2019 retains its highly-engaging format, weaving theory into practice as professors delve deep with the students into computing and IT fields offering some of the industry's highly sought-after knowledge and skills.
