Congratulations to Prof. Yin Jianwei for Winning the 2018 National Distinguished Young Scholars

Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China issued the Announcement of the Evaluation Results of the 2018 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars Application Project, officially settling the list of the 2018 National Distinguished Young Scholars. Professor Yin Jianwei from the College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University became a winner of the 2018 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.

 

About the Award

The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars mainly supports accomplished young scholars to independently select research directions and carry out innovative study. It is a cradle that promotes the growth of young science and technology talents and cultivates outstanding academic leaders to enter the forefront of world science and technology. Since the official entitlement of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1994, a large number of winners have been elected as academicians in the 24 years of its development. At the same time, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars hasestablished itself as a leading high-end technological fund in China. The project has become the goal of almost every young and middle-aged scholarand a talent project that every research institute strives for, making the competition extremely fierce.

 

In 2018, the National Natural Science Foundation of China received 2,974 applications for the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and accepted 2,950 in preliminary trials.According to the provisions of the National Science and Technology Project for Distinguished Young Scholars and the evaluation of the National Juvenile Science Foundation Review Committee, 199 National Distinguished Young Scholars projectswere funded.

 

Biography of Prof. Yin Jianwei


Prof. Yin Jianwei is the Vice Dean of College of Computer Science and Technology of Zhejiang University. He Serves asIEEE TSC deputy editor, China Computer Society Service Computing Committee deputy director, vice president of the manufacturing alliance expert committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information TechnologyHe has long been engaged in the research of software and service computing and intelligent data processing in modern service industry platforms. He is the chairman of the program committee of well-known domestic and international academic conferences such as ICSOC2018, NCSC2016, CIC2015, CBPM2015, etc. He has published multiple papers in top international journals and conferences such as TC, TKDE, TPDS, TSE, TSC, CHI, ICDE, ICDCS and ICSOC.He has won the ICSOC2017 Best Paper award in the service computing field and guided doctoral students to win the SCC2012 Best Student Paper award. He has undertaken or completed more than 10 major national-level projects including the National Key R&D Plan(project leader), the National Natural Science Fund, the 863 Program andthe Science and Technology Support Program. He has received more than 100 national invention patents, 1 national science and technology progress second prize and 4 provincial level science and technology first prizes.
